As a freelance producer for the BBC Paris Bureau, I had the opportunity to cover the French presidential election 2022, working closely with Europe Editor Katya Adler and Brussels Correspondent Jessica Parker, Paris Bureau Correspondent Lucy Williamson, Parisian Producers Paul Pradier, Marianne Baisnee and Europe Producer Kate Vandy.
My tasks:
Researching, contacting and fact-checking sources,
Translating interviews live, news and taking notes during press conferences,
Daily prospects,
Breaking news briefs,
Daily press review,
Organizing shootings (sites, guests, subjects),
Assisting with interviews, shootings and editing, voxpop (radio, digital press, Tv),
Assisting with various administrative tasks.
